A7 Radio's "The Derech Eretz Show" with Elan Adler
U.S. President Barak Obama came to Israel and did his best to reset American-Israeli relations as well as personal ties between himself and Prime Minister Netanyahu. What kind of derech eretz did Obama give and what kind did he get? How do we judge the entirety of a person? By words? Deeds? Beliefs? Did those who vehemently disagree with him cross any lines of decency, or did they not go far enough in their critique? Elan examines his visit through the prism of Derech Eretz.
Also,?Rabbi Adler?shares about his recent journey to Poland, seeing first-hand evidence of an absolute absence of derech eretz - merciless torture, dispassionate killings, a profound and depraved indifference to human life that is horrifying to absorb. Where was God? Where was mankind? A tough journey with tough questions.
I wish all my listeners joyous holidays, a Happy Passover and the quickening of the redemption of the Jewish people and a world redeemed of hate, bigotry and bloodshed.
